Master’s Thesis in Molecular Genetics (m/w/d)
The Molecular Genetics of Atherosclerosis and Myocardial Infarction research group at the German Heart Center (Deutsches Herzzentrum München) affiliated with TUM focuses on the identification of genetic risk variants and mutations. The underlying pathomechanisms are clarified using various experimental approaches. These include in particular genome editing, biochemical and cell culture work, transcriptome analyses, and phenotyping of transgenic mouse models.
- Participation in scientific seminars and exchange with other scientists
- Planning and conducting experiments in the above-mentioned areas
- Master's student in biology, life sciences or biomedicine
- Previous laboratory experience is an advantage
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
- An employment contract initially limited to one year with the option of extension
