Bioengineering PHD Students (m/f/d)
The bioengineering projects aim to establish human 3D-artery and -tissue models using human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived cells. The models will be used in studying disease mechanisms and therapeutic testing for obesity and coronary artery disease (https://lmy.de/XaikP).
- Skills in culturing and differentiating hiPSCs, biofabrication of tissue and handling of 3D printers
- Strong interest in cardiovascular research
- Accuracy and reliability, initiative, organizational skills, and a high sense of responsibility
- Very good written and spoken English
- High level of communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- An employment contract initially limited to 3.5 years with longer-term prospects
