Anaesthesia for interventional therapy of structural heart diseases
At the German Heart Centre Munich, this therapy is scientifically monitored and evaluated by the Institute of Anaesthesiology in order to improve the periprocedural treatment of these patients (e.g. type of anaesthesiaDrug-induced and controlled unconsciousness with simultaneous suspension of pain sensation, muscle tension, defence reflexes and paralysis of the central nervous system. Only in such a condition can operations be performed on the heart., blood transfusionBlood transfusion; infusion of blood or blood components to compensate for blood loss., etc.). With the expansion of interventional therapy to other heart valves, the areas of anaesthesiological use will also expand.
