Start » Glossary » Ebstein anomaly of the tricuspid valve (Ebstein’s disease)
Malformation of the tricuspid valve with displacement of the attachment of the valve leaflets into the depth of the right ventricle. This makes the right ventricle relatively small and the right atrium large. The valve leaflets are also misshapen. In addition, there may be an opening between the two atria (ASD = atrial septal defect).
