Medical area

The Institute has 4 senior physician, 4 specialist and 2 junior doctor posts. Emergency CT care is provided by the specialists and senior physicians on call.
The Director of the Institute, Dr Martinoff, has a 2-year authorisation for further training in radiology. The additional qualification in cardiac CT according to SCCT and DGK, the additional qualification in cardiac MRI according to DGK and the nuclear medicine qualification in the cardiovascular system can also be acquired.

We offer the entire spectrum of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging at a maximum care hospital, which enables challenging, highly specialised and yet varied work. We place particular emphasis on individual optimisation of the examination procedure and close communication with clinical colleagues. One of the assistantships is designed as a clinical research position for the supervision of clinical studies, which are conducted in close cooperation with the in-house departments, and enables young colleagues to supervise clinical studies and publish accordingly even at the beginning of their specialist training. It is also recognised as a site for the additional qualification in cardiac computed tomography.

Medical-technical area

The Institute of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine employs 20 MTRAs on a full- or part-time basis. The hierarchy is very flat, there is a head MTRA for radiology and for nuclear medicine, as well as a deputy in radiology. In addition, there is a team leader and a deputy for each of the CT and MRI areas. For conventional X-rays, an equipment officer is responsible for technical matters. CT and MRI are used to examine patients with sometimes highly complex cardiac anatomy or diseases of the heart or the large vessels, which you will otherwise hardly ever see, even in large university hospitals. In doing so, we work closely with all specialist departments and also offer internal training. In addition, external seminars or congresses can be attended for further education.
