Premature and low birth weight newborns with congenital heart defects
Compared to term and normal birth weight neonates, these patients are at increased risk of morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study is to analyse clinical and epidemiological factors associated with the timing of surgery in preterm and LBW newborns.
The results of this retrospective multi-centre study will help optimise future decision-making to further improve the long-term developmental neurological outcome of preterm and LBW newborns with CHD.
